Description: Class is in session for a second season of culinary lessons on "All-Star Academy." Nine home cooks are guided by professional chefs Alex Guarnaschelli, Curtis Stone, Robert Irvine and Andrew Zimmern over the course of eight episodes.The mentors put the contestants through a series of kitchen challenges intended to elevate their cooking skills. Guest professors -- including Duff Goldman, Adam Richman and Geoffrey Zakarian -- appear each week to judge the contestants' dishes. After the first test -- preparing a dish using the contents of a lunchbox -- the competitor who ranks last is eliminated, and the others get to choose their mentors based on the order in which they finished. The eliminations continue throughout the season until a winner is named, earning the $50,000 grand prize and bragging rights for his or her mentor.
