Description: In this series journalist Anita Rani investigates Britain's low wage economy through a social experiment where 20 volunteers are employed in the fastest growing jobs in this sector. In an effort to test their skills the group take part in various low-paid jobs while Rani explores the effect of rises in minimum wages on employers and whether views on hard work have changed across Britain. First the team get cleaning as they tidy hotel rooms and filter through recycling. In other episodes industries including e-commerce, manufacturing and farming are discussed.
