This programme, hosted by actor John Noble (`Fringe'), recalls stories of actual scientific undertakings that just didn't push the envelope, but soared off into Dr Frankenstein territory. Dramatized re-enactments bring to life Soviet scientist Dr Ilya Ivanov's attempt to crossbreed humans and apes, UFO researcher Morris Jessup's investigation of government invisibility experiments and other outlandish-but-true topics.
