Description: Christchurch is a picturesque town on England's south coast with an aged population with about one-third of its residents over the age of 65. In an effort to gain younger residents to the area, this programme invites 13 unemployed young people from across the UK to Christchurch and give them eight weeks worth of work experience with local companies with the possibility of a permanent job at the end of the experiment. A wool shop, a party shop, a garden centre and a smoke house are some of the businesses where the youngsters gain work experience. Along the way the senior population come together and exchange ideas with the younger set, but it's not always smooth sailing for everyone as the two generations clash over things such as facial piercings and bad language. In the end some throw the opportunity away while others take advantage of it to change their lives forever.
