Stuck with Hackett

Stuck with Hackett

Description: Artist Chris Hackett likes his projects to be unconventional. As founder of the Madagascar Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y., an arts combine that specializes in large-scale, over-the-top projects and guerrilla events, Hackett is used to creating functional things in unusual ways. This series follows the "alternative engineer" as he's dropped into different extreme, deserted environments. Scouring up every available scrap item at hand, Hackett uses his scientific knowledge and artist's imagination to build amazing working machines out of things we "normal" people would consider to be junk.
