England's Forgotten Queen: The Life and Death of Lady Jane Grey

England's Forgotten Queen: The Life and Death of Lady Jane Grey

Description: English historian Helen Castor presents this three-part BBC miniseries about the astonishing true story of the first reigning Queen of England, Lady Jane Grey. The known history about Lady Jane Grey is that she was an innocent teen who was put on the throne before being beheaded as a traitor after a reign lasting only nine days. Original documents, however, reveal a different story about dynastic rivalry and betrayal. Each episode unravels the true history of Lady Jane Grey's plight, from Edward's document that first left Jane the throne to her reign and trial and, ultimately, to the untimely death of her, her husband and her father.
