Penelope Keith's Village of the Year

Description: Actress Penelope Keith has spent time in many villages throughout the United Kingdom during her `Hidden Villages' series. She now has the task of finding and crowning 2017's `Village of the Year'. The contest takes place over three rounds: the heats, the semi-finals, and the final. A panel of expert judges are on hand to judge the villages based on the following criteria: appearance, history and heritage, village events, activities and visitor experience, with the winning village receiving £10,000 to be used on a worthwhile community project.
